Birthday Card for My Niece

I've seen lots of very nice cards with a window punch out and the sentiment on the inside of the card but I've never tried one before.  I thought I'd try it when I made a birthday card for my Niece.  I think it's pretty nice for a first try and it's much nicer in real life than in the pic.  I stamped the chartreuse in a circle inside the card and then stamped and embossed the Happy Birthday in silver.  I sprayed the front of the card with glimmer mist and it's very sparkly.

CR84FN has a color challenge on this week and that was the inspiration for the colors

Birthday Card for My Brother

I have a lot of family members that have Birthdays in January and February.  Unfortunately my oldest brother's Birthday is first and inevitably I never had a card for him in time.  By the time I hit the February Birthdays people usually get their card before their birthday.

Although I *did* talk to my brother on his Birthday and wish him a happy one, I still figured a belated Birthday card would be cute.  This is what I came up with.  The inside says "I missed your birthday"

Valentine's Day Card

I saw this stamp on the Unity website and knew that I had to have it.  I'm not sure what my fascination is with monster stamps but I seem to love them all.  Plus these two are so cute!  I wanted to try a round shaped card and I think this was a pretty good first attempt.  I wish it was a bit bigger, but this is the largest die that will fit in my Cuttlebug.

Birthday Card for My Dad

Today I made a Birthday card for my Dad.  I love the Bugaboo Gus images and thought this one would make a fun card.  He's probably not going to like it as much as I do, but that's OK.  At least I didn't put 'old fart' on it or something like that.

Now that I've uploaded the card I think the front looks like of plain.  I feel t needs a sentiment on there somewhere?  I was just going to write inside but may rethink this.

Wedding Card

I made this wedding card for friends.  This is by far the most complicated card I've ever made.  It took me quite some time to figure out what I wanted in all of the numerous spots to fill and how I wanted to personalize it just for them.  Of course I couldn't just take a standard trifold card size either.  A couple of the panels weren't the right size for what I wanted so I adjusted the over all measurements. And the layers!  There's layer upon layer.  The front has eight and a couple are even popped up.  I most like the bride and groom hearts on the front.  It's difficult to tell but they are stamped and heat embossed in a sparkly lace design.  The Celtic crosses are just for me :)

I love how this turned out and they loved it as well.  It's not something I'm going to be doing very often, but I really enjoyed making something so special for such a special occasion

Happy Birthday Card

I've been busy creating a better crafting area in my house to I haven't had a chance to actually make any cards in the past little while.  Now that I'm (almost) finished I can get back to creating!  There are a lot of birthdays in my family in January and February so that'll be my focus for the next little while.

I created this card for my brother.  It's bright and cheerful, but stills seems gender neutral to me. 

AnnaBelle stamps blog is having a color challenge this week so that's how I decided on the colors.

Valentine's Day Card

Wow, its been a long time since I've posted or entered a challenge.  It seems that all of a sudden it was time to make some Christmas cards and tags and now it's January.  Now I'm back to finding challenges to provide some inspiration.  The Catch the Bug blog is still one of my favorites.  I love the Bugaboo images as well.  They had a sale on in December so you'll see a lot more of their images on my cards :)  Today's card has been created with Bugaboo's 3 Hearts digital stamp.  CtB has a sketch challenge and I'm all about Valentine's Day cards right now so this is what I came up with.
